Sometimes the best moments in life aren't the ones we plan. It is even better when those unexpected moments turn into hilarious coincidences. It's rare to capture these things on camera, but some people are just at the right place at the right time, and the results will have you cracking up. These photos prove that sometimes it's best when things go the opposite of how they were planned.
1. This News Hits Home Hard
When this newspaper company promised to make their news hit home, they took that guarantee to the next level. They didn't want you to forget about their newspaper because online media is becoming more popular while print media is declining rapidly.
The company was nervous that these people would forget about their newspaper, so they drove the delivery truck right into their home. You will never get more hard-hitting stories from somewhere else. If you want news straight to your door, trust The Republican.
2. As You Can See, Obedience Training Was Money Well Spent
This puppy just spent weeks in obedience school to receive his diploma, but when they got home, all that training went out the window. The dog ripped up his certificate because he didn't want proof that he knew how to behave.
Unfortunately, he got caught in the middle of his destruction. His training taught him that he did something wrong, so he tried to look as sad and sorry as possible. How can you really be mad at a face like that? The obedience training must take a few days to become effective.
3. "We Think We Can, We Think We Can...We Can't"
This company's slogan is "sure we can;" however, this is one thing they can't do. The truck exceeded the height limit for the underpass, and they got stuck in the most ironic way. Not only did they ruin the truck, but they also caused a traffic jam on the highway.
Instead of following their slogan, they should have read a few signs and realized the truck was too tall for the overpass. There are times in life when people have to learn to say they can't do something, especially when it causes lots of damage.
4. He Said "Freedom," The People Said, "Lock Him In A Cage"
This is the perfect visual representation of our freedom in the year 2020. While we may have our freedom, we are locked in our houses because of a virus taking the world by storm. While this statue proclaims freedom, it is surrounded by fences that prevent people from going near it.
The statue's face looks angry because it is locked in a cage with nowhere to go. Wouldn't you be upset if people couldn't admire you like they are supposed to? Let the statue out of captivity; it deserves to stand without barriers.
5. Anti-Chewing Spray: The Dog's Ultimate Challenge
This dog is obsessed with this anti-chew spray bottle. It is too bad that the liquid inside the bottle is not deterring the dog from biting it. Someone should post this photo under the reviews on Amazon so everyone will know the product does not do what it promises.
The dog must be thinking, "You tried to stop me from chewing everything, but the joke is on you because I like the taste of this stuff." The owner is wondering why they wasted money on this ridiculous spray only for their dog to destroy the bottle.
6. Within Every Canadian Is An American
Maybe these people are celebrating dual citizenship, or an American is pranking their Canadian pals. Whatever this cake is for, it is hilarious because Americans and Canadians hate being compared to each other even though they share the same continent.
Why can't we join hands with our northern friends and learn to love each other? While there are many differences, we will admit, our cultures share many similarities, and we are all just regular people at the end of the day. We are sure Canadians would disagree with that statement.
7. The Spray Must Have Leaked Onto The Bottles
We are unsure what invisible spray is meant for, but it is doing a great job because you can't even see the bottles on the shelf. Also, who would pay eight dollars for a bottle of spray they can't even see? That's a bit of a hefty price for something that might not even exist.
When you bring it to the register, how does the cashier ring it up? Do they pretend to scan it and charge you anyway? It is a bizarre product, whether it is real or not. Don't be fooled by this product; it doesn't actually exist, and you are being scammed.
8. Is There Anything In That Book That Says He Should Focus On The Road?
We do not recommend reading and driving, texting and driving, or anything that would distract you from the road. This man is reading about the art of focusing, yet he is distracted from the one thing he has to pay attention to. Who has time to pull out a book and read while they sit at a light?
A stoplight is usually 30 seconds to a minute long, so how much reading could you get done in that short time? You would have to have the book ready in the passenger seat for each light, and you would need to keep looking for the light to change. You should just wait until you get to your destination to read the book.
9. This Must Be For Their Math Teacher
As Ross Geller once said, "Y-O-U apostrophe R-E is YOU ARE, Y-O-U-R means YOUR!" Whoever made this teacher award didn't learn many things from their English teacher because they used the wrong version of "Your." If someone gave this to an English teacher, it would drive them insane.
Maybe it is a gag gift to piss off teachers because they can't stand grammar mistakes. Even if you aren't an English teacher, this kind of silly mistake would bother you. It was probably mass-produced in a factory, and plenty of teachers received these poorly written plaques.
10. Everything Is Breakable If You Try Hard Enough
Although this is the DVD for Unbreakable, it seems that the disc did not hold up to those standards. It is ironic that something can break so easily, yet it is labeled as something that should never crack. Maybe they should rename the movie to Unfixable instead.
This picture must be old because we can't remember the last time someone ordered a DVD from Netflix. We can't imagine why this person would need the DVD today when the movie is most likely streaming, and you can't break that.
11. Someone Didn't Learn From This Book
Whatever was in this book made one child so frustrated that it decided to tear apart the book with its teeth. Teeth are meant for chewing food, but not for biting objects like books and people. This toddler didn't understand the concept and showed the biting book who the boss is.
To the parent's surprise, this biting book was not helpful, and they were left with a half-eaten lump of cardboard. It was a tragic sight to see; however, they couldn't help but laugh because the situation was classic irony.
12. That Book Works Wonders
This woman was having difficulty sleeping, so she got this helpful book at the store. It must be highly recommended because it seems like it works wonders for those who have sleeping troubles. We would love to try this book for our difficulty sleeping.
Whoever wrote this book is a genius, and they probably found the cure for insomnia, but you have to read about it in the book. Maybe inside, it is just the most boring text you will ever read, which puts you to sleep because your brain can't handle that level of boredom.
13. The Store May Need To Take Some Fasteners From Their Supply
It seems that this store is not taking advantage of the products they have at their disposal. The sign directing customers to fasteners was not fastened to the pole strong enough. It seems like they do not have the best fasteners for sale if they can't even get their signs to stay up.
Someone should really fix that sign before customers start to think that their products aren't high quality. The person who took this picture was probably thinking that the fastener sign should be fastened to the pole better.
14. Now What?
Usually, when there is a small fire, you would reach for a fire extinguisher to put it out. But what do you do when the fire extinguisher is on fire? Shouldn't fire extinguishers be fireproof so that accidents like this don't happen? Maybe everyone keeps a back up in case of emergencies like this.
The biggest question everyone is probably thinking is how this caught on fire in the first place. It doesn't look like the flame came from somewhere else because it is only the fire extinguisher that is burning. Did someone set this fire themselves, or did it spontaneously combust? That is the unsolved mystery.
15. The Higher The Wind Speed, The Better The Ride Should Be
This ride may be called Wind Seeker, but if the wind speed is too high, no one can ride. You would think that the high wind speeds would attract more people to the ride, but they deemed it unsafe. It looks like those wind seekers are going to have to find it somewhere else.
We guess safety is essential at this amusement park, but it is odd that those who are looking for wind can't go on the ride when there is too much of it. Next time you want to go on Wind Seeker, make sure the wind speeds aren't too strong.
16. Non-Stick Once You Figure Out How To Remove The Sticker
Usually, non-stick frying pans or pots are not supposed to have things stick to them because that would defeat their whole purpose. This one is not the best quality because the sticker won't detach from the bottom of the pan, and it will ruin the non-stick surface.
If the sticker doesn't come off, they will never be able to find out how the non-stick surface works. Costco should stop putting strong stickers on their pans so people can actually use the product they are purchasing.
17. Safety Begins With Anyone Who Was Not In That Car
This metro's slogan is "Safety begins with you;" however, they were not thinking about that person's safety in the car that is smashed. The vehicle probably tried to cut in front of the train at the last minute, which is the driver's fault, but they were not being safe.
Maybe the company thought that safety begins with anyone who does not drive their car in front of the light rail. The lesson we can take away from this is not to try to beat a moving train because the train will always be faster than your vehicle.
18. They Made The Impossible, Possible
Despite saying, "Nothing is written in stone," they did the impossible and wrote something in stone. People carve things in stone all the time, so why do they think it can't be done. They must not have realized that carving and writing are the same things when it comes to rocks.
We aren't sure where this person found this stone, but it could have been in the land of irony. Were there other stones with ironic sayings, or was it just this one? You never know where you are going to find the ironic things in the world.
19. Healthy Hands Stay Far Away From Here
Although the hand sanitizer kills 99 percent of germs, it looks like you would only be making your hands dirtier by using this sanitizing station. We don't know what people did to this thing, but it seems like it has been through hell and back with all that dirt and destruction.
Did someone take this thing and dunk it into a pile of mud before realizing that it is supposed to make things clean? Wherever this is located, we hope it has been replaced since this photo was taken. With all the germs and viruses going around right now, the sanitizer needs to be sanitized.
20. Just Put Your Resume In The Box, And We Will Never Get Back To You
The only place they are accepting resumes is in the trash can because that is where applications belong. Someone who works at this store did this on purpose, so new employees would be discouraged from applying. That person probably feels threatened by new co-workers.
The company had the idea to hire people, but they didn't want to pay anyone, so the applications were directed to the right department, the trash. Next time you want to apply for a job at Verizon, think again because they secretly don't want your applications.
21. It's Like An All-You-Can-Eat Buffet
What is the one place where vampires can get all the blood they want without hurting people? A blood bank, obviously. This vampire was not too sly because their license plate gave them away instantly. It was even more suspicious when they came out looking full after a big meal.
The vampire walked in, and it was posing as an employee so it could get to the blood supply. Before anyone realized who he was, the vampire devoured the blood supply that had just been collected. They only realized who he was once he drove away, and they saw the license plate.
22. He Must Be Learning A Lot
We aren't sure what the book is about, exactly, but based on the title, this man is learning why he shouldn't eat alone. Why is it wrong to eat lunch alone? Maybe this man enjoys his few moments of quiet time during the long and stressful day.
After he finishes his book, he plays himself in a game of chess. He could just be the office loner, so he is trying to learn how to become more approachable. Whatever is in that book, this man is interested and invested because he does not notice that someone is taking a photo of him.
23. Hairline Check
This man's hairline receded so far back that the middle of his head is completely bald. The seat cover was mocking him because it looks like it says, "check hairline." Baldness is a very common thing as men get older, so this man has probably come to terms with his lack of a hairline.
Luckily this airline caters to all hairlines even though they advise you to check them. It doesn't matter if you have a full and thick head of hair or no hair at all; you can fly wherever you want in the world because people don't discriminate against hairlines.
24. They May Suck, But At Least This Person Was Wearing One
Although this person's helmet says, "helmet laws suck," they were probably glad to be wearing one when their head was scraping against the ground. The helmet has a large scratch mark on it because it dragged against the pavement. The helmet kept them safe from death, which is why those laws exist.
While people may think that helmets don't look cool or they are a hassle, they can keep you protected from dying and serious brain injuries. You can be a macho biker man and still wear a helmet. Save yourself a trip to the hospital and follow the law.
25. Stops Rust, Kind Of...
This sealer is supposed to prevent rust, but the company forgot to use it on their cans. While it may prevent your metals from rusting, you will have to deal with the rust on the outside of the tin. Much like the anti-chew spray, it does not stop the actual container from wearing down.
When you buy products that are supposed to prevent something, you should apply the product to the outside of the bottle so that the product doesn't get ruined. They don't write it on the instructions, but it should be the first step after opening the product.
26. Wow, Those Flames Are Super Realistic
We aren't going to lie; people who have flames on their car deserve their car to catch on fire. Everyone knows your pickup truck doesn't go fast enough to burn rubber, so those flames are just a symbol of someone who needs to have all the attention.
Hopefully, no one was hurt in this car fire, but we hope they didn't replace this vehicle with another one that had flames drawn on the side. If the first one burns, it is a sign that you shouldn't get the same thing again.
27. It's Not Helpful If You Can't Get It Open
These thick plastic packages are not only bad for the environment, but they also make it nearly impossible to open packages. Someone created a device to make opening these packages easier; however, you need to have a special tool to get into the plastic that holds the device.
It's like when you see scissors in these packages, and you need a pair of scissors to open them. It is a never-ending cycle of needing a tool to open another tool that opens other things. Someone needs to end the process and get rid of this awful packaging.
28. They Should Rethink Their Goals
Their goal may be to have no accidents, but they are not meeting that goal. They probably have one of those boards that says, "This many days since our last accident," and they have to change that back to zero very often.
Hopefully, they are a drywall company so they can quickly fix this massive hole in the wall. Whoever was driving this thing should have known that the company's goal is "No accidents," so they will be in trouble for the damage.
29. Just Following Instructions
The sign on the wall said, "put paper in trash can," and someone took that sign seriously. Now, no one will know where the paper towels are supposed to go. It is bizarre that someone has to put up a sign to instruct people to throw their paper in the waste bin.
It seems like such a simple task that we should all know by now, but some people are just too lazy to follow those unwritten rules. Finally, someone took the rule a little too far, and now the instructions are gone. How will anyone know where to throw their used paper towels without the sign?
30. Croc With A Croc
Have you ever seen anything as ridiculous as a crocodile eating a croc? The crocodile must have been angry that this shoe made his species look like a joke. Crocs are the worst shoes to have ever been invented, and they give actual crocodiles a bad rep because of the tackiness.
Crocodiles don't want to be associated with these horrible shoes anymore, so they are fighting back and eating all the Croc shoes that fall into their rivers. Next time you see a crocodile, you should hope you aren't wearing a pair of these shoes, or they will attack you.
31. American Freedom Is Made In China
When we think of American freedom, we think about things made in America, not China. We aren't sure what this company is selling, but they are not making it easier to like their products considering they don't make them in the country that their company is named after.
How can a company call itself "American Freedom" and then label the box "Made in China?" That just defeats their whole ideal and ruins the appeal behind their work. If you name a company after a country, the products should also be made in the same region.
32. You Heard It Here First, They Value Safety
When they are hanging a sign that says "Think Safety First," you would think the person would try to follow all safety precautions. However, that is not the case for this man; he wanted to get things done as quickly as possible and didn't care about his personal safety.
Why would he think it was a smart idea to balance himself on the thin railing while putting the signup? If one of his feet slips, he will be injured in a very painful way, and he will regret his choices. We can only hope that other people follow the sign instead of the man hanging it.
33. Dog Training Is Going Well, But They Don't Know What The Next Chapter Is About
Instead of spending money on useless obedience classes, this person decided to train her dog herself. She ordered the book from Amazon, and the training was going well until she left the house for a few minutes only to find the dog had destroyed the obedience book.
The dog was not enjoying their training sessions, and she knew the next chapter was house training, so she had to get rid of the retched guide. In her small window of time, she tore the book to shreds. Little does the dog know; her owner could have a new one by tomorrow with overnight shipping.
34. Does Anyone Know A Good Roofer?
This is not a good look for a roofing company. When people come to their showroom, they will look up and see the giant hole in their roof and wonder about the actual quality of their products. Who would trust roofers who can't even keep their roof in one piece?
They should really figure out how to help themselves before they start putting weak rooves on other people's homes. People who saw this were probably thinking they will never use this company to install a roof on their home because it is not reliable clearly.
35. Plastic Ban Seems To Be Working
The city might have banned plastic, but the newspaper is not taking that claim seriously. They don't care who tries; they will continue to package their papers in plastic bags until there is a better reason to stop. What do people care about more: saving the planet or having dry newspapers?
There is a small possibility that the newspaper does not have to follow the rules because the city feels bad that the print industry is rapidly declining. It's like letting a dog eat all their favorite human foods before it dies; you just want it to have a little fun before it shuts down.
36. That Disclaimer Cost The Planet One Sheet Of Paper
The disclaimer on the paper is trying to get people to use less paper; however, that one line of text is the reason an extra sheet of paper was wasted. If that one line weren't included when someone tried to print something, there would be plenty of paper saved.
While it was probably unnecessary to print out the email, there could have been less paper used. People aren't usually printing out their entire inboxes, so why is this a cautionary line in the first place? There are obviously good reasons for someone to have to print out an email.
37. They Don't Use Their Glue For The Label Clearly
Although Gorilla Glue works like a charm, the glue they use for their labels is not as effective. Despite their claim that their glue is the strongest, it seems they do not have the same standards for their packaging. While a product might be high quality, the container it comes in factors into the ranking.
While they don't want to waste their precious glue on the packaging, it still doesn't make sense not to use a strong adhesive on their labels. Don't they realize that people are going to think their glue is less superior if the tag is falling off of the bottle?
38. Cliff Bar Stuck On A Cliff
Oh no, the Cliff bar is hanging on the edge of the vending machine cliff, struggling to hold on before it falls into the hands of a hungry person. It looks like the tiny man on the label is trying to climb back onto the shelf with the other bars where it will be safe instead of crumpled in the garbage.
You can assume the person taking this photo is laughing in frustration because it is an ironic scenario, but they just wasted money not to get the food they wanted. Although it is only 25 cents, they are probably hungry and not in the mood to start shaking the vending machine.
39. Gene Simmons Loves Ice Cream
Gene Simmons from the rock band Kiss is known for his extra-long tongue, and he must use it to eat his ice cream. Whoever left that ice cream there must have known Simmons would be on the boy's shirt looking for a tasty treat to eat.
The other students must have been distracted all day because they couldn't stop laughing about the image of Simmons licking the fake ice cream. The teacher was so confused because he couldn't see the boy's shirt and thought they were laughing at him.
40. "Must Chew The Anti Chew"
This dog looks like it is longing to get the bottle back so he can chew on it some more. Although it is supposed to stop dogs from eating things not meant for them, it is not doing such an adequate job. Shouldn't the dog dislike the flavor of the bottle?
The caution warning on the label should also read that the bottle does not stop dogs from chewing on things; only the liquid inside is effective. This person probably wanted their money back after seeing how much their dog chewed on the container.
